It's the jungle in Central America above guatamala and was awesome fun. I went with the school- only a few people i knew. Only seven of us went so it was good fun and i got to meet people who i didnt otherwise know and hang out with the leaving girls.

Most exciting things that happened- a tarantula was lying on the path and Jenny almost stepped on it. As a joke i asked if i could pick it up and cuddle it and our guide said yes. Our teacher then said no. Quickly. But the guide had the tarantula crawl up his arm, down his short, up the back of his neck and through his hair. So i had a go. Yum.....

Scorpion crawled trough teh walls of our room- we were staying in a rickety little shck thing- and everyone started screaming. It was funny. Then our teacher ran in and tried to shoo it out with a matcbox. ......I felt so English. Alos felt english when we were sat on the porch of the other camp, the sun was setting and my friend and i were listen to mozart on her ipod. It felt very colonial......

We'd go out walking every day and the guide would point stuff out to us, explain the uses of plants or the survival technicques when encountering ravaging jaguars.......Once Jenny almost stepped on a snake (she liked stepping on things once she killed a snail. We cried.) and the guide picked up a stick and trapped it. Whilst the deadly venomous snake was trying to wriggle its way towards me i asked him why and the guy says "so you can take a photo." Um. I didnt know a photo was a worthy reason ot die for and so after we'd all been very arty the guide picks it up and slings it way into the jungle. The RSCPA will be after me....

They said to us that women have specila power over snakes and that if a female is looking at it a snake is paralysed and shoudl a pregnant woman look at it it'll just die....well. looks can kill.......(AWFUL PUN! i KNOW...xd)

We learnt how to make tortillas (i wrote bite me on mine) heheh) and cinnamon buns and donuts and visited the Maysn site at caracol. It was cool but i wished we'd spent longer. I loved the blue lagoon- it was blue. mmmmmmm. Sadly we didnt see a jaguar buit you know what? pictures speak better than words so I'm just gonna have to organise myself about it. And tell me if anyone has facebook- I want to talk to you more often!

In other news, I'm Kate in the school play- I have the main part in Shakespeares "Taming of the Shrew". I'm so excited I could cry. And I got A*s in French and Maths GCSEs and A in German. School might not be so bad this year...
