Last night it snowed
Tenhundred thousand crystals fell
like frozen angels' tears
And no one saw.
Snow steeped the valleys
like the froth on the crest of a wave
and a child's breath upon a mirror
the glassy frosted lakes
And life went on. As before.
The white's dove's feathers coated homes
like the Snow Queen's everreaching cloak.
And slumbering flowers dreamt beneath its silken touch
To wait for spring's unwelcome song.
And we huddled closer to the fire.
Breath, misting, frozen in the air
And turned our backs on winter's waltz.

It's always nice to read you again!
I love winter, and I'd love if it snowed here often.
